Sun Microsystems (SUNW) - More names pop up on the DGN possible buy out. Investors are betting that DATA GENERAL CORP is being pursued by suitors such as STORAGE TECHNOLOGY CORP and SUN MICROSYSTEMS INC, an article in the Nov. 9 issue of Business Week said. Analysts said Data General was an undervalued player in an attractive market, the article said. Other possible buyers include HEWLETT-PACKARD CO and IBM CORP, the article said. (Reuters 02:54 AM ET 10/30/98) ==================================================================== I am not opposed to any purchase BUT we need to buy at a significant discount to book value AND it must fit in with SUNW's overall business plan. Does anybody know if Data General has manufacturing facilities that could be converted for building Jini embedded devises? Or is Data General more of a service organization? Why would Storage Technology be interested? EKS
