TTOSBT ,
You say your "retirement fund...has AOL as top10" and that concerns you. Well it should. To state the obvious, Internet stocks, AOL included, are highly speculative stocks. Any mutual fund with AOL in its top ten is itself a highly speculative fund. You might want to re-think your retirement strategy and consider, say, index funds or spyders.
As for your specific question, whether the recent insider selling in AOL is unusual, IMO the answer is "yes, but...." Yes, it's unusual but it's also the first real opportunity for Case and company to take a payday and, in Case's case, amounts to only a bit over 5% of his holdings.
Again, if you are uncomfortable with a major holding of your retirement fund, it might be time to shop for a new fund.
