Little Green Footballs The saga of Dick Durbin (D-Illinois) gets even more outrageous, as the possibility arises that he fabricated most of the “FBI memo” he quoted in his now-infamous Senate speech: Durbin Revises and Extends Gitmo Remarks. One knowledgeable official familiar with the memo cited by Durbin as well as other memos said the FBI agent made no such allegation and that the memo described only someone chained to the floor. Anything beyond that is simply an interpretation, the official said.
