Wall Street is not going to hold prisoners. Either you are in full control or you are gone. This does not mean that schedules can't be missed and markets change. But it does mean that if bad things happen, that you are ready for it and no real damage is done. His tendancie to say that he was mislead and that he made some mistakes are not going to cut it. He has inclination to be a good boy scout. Craig Barrett and Intel will both be punished pretty badly if he appears wishy washy and does a public confession. Any confession of a mistake will be blown up out of all proportion to what he really intends to reveal. I hope he gets it right and asks himself how Jack Welch would handle the situation.
