Bill Clinton is ten times as powerful as Hillary is. Since he is a keynote speaker, she got nudged out. She is not the face Kerry wants on his campaign. He respects her but she's not his cup of tea. If he chose a woman senator to speak it would be Diane Feinstein who was the first major female senator to endorse him.
