Altaf: Thanks for the link on Teledesic. Yes Obri did put up the last satellite for them and may launch another one, but these are experimental satellites to test the performance before they start launching the other 288 satellites. As a 10% partner in Teledesic Boeing is said to be the prime contractor for these satellites,but we will never know as to what could happen in the future,perhaps Orbi even could get a portion of the contracts after all Boeing didn't launched the first experimental satellites,Orbi did. I wonder why Boeing didn't do that???? Any thoughts anyone??? PS: I also hear Teledesic's original plan was much more ambitious than the now confirmed LEO satellites they intend to launch,and it is good to know Orbi is the leader in this field.
