Cafe Hayek
By Don Boudreaux on Trade

The proudly independent states found themselves interdependent as never before, increasingly bound in one economic web, and forming a vast theater of interrelated politics, wars, law, literature, and art.

It's a description, written by historian Will Durant in 1957, of Europe in the mid-16th century.
