Of the political variety.

FWIW, I’ve long maintained the Democrat Party committed political suicide at their riotous 1968 nominating convention. Most of the ensuing 36 years has been a slow-action political death spasm for them. With incumbency, the media, the union machines, gobs and gobs of money, systematic election fraud, and conservative fecklessness, dragging out the process – interminably, at times.

On the issues, this is a conservative country. From coast to coast. Always has been. Always will be. So, the chances of far leftists being able to achieve any semblance of issue-based political hegemony – by running on their actual beliefs(!) – are about the same as Ken Lay and Dennis Kozlowski being elected to the good corporate governance hall of fame.

In terms of raw politics, those FDR-era union trades are not all going to live to be 100. And the media simply doesn’t have the ability to flip national elections at this stage of their decline.

We’re nearing the final tipping point for the vestiges of leftism as national public policy.

And, believe you me, the far left is about to get crazier
!

Modern-day leftism is not a political ideology.

It’s a mental disorder.
