I am a scientist, but I am not familiar enough with the cells (yet) to answer many of the questions. I will make two points, however, regarding recent posts.

1) The lower temp is significant for two reasons. First, cheaper materials can be used for building the cell. Second, equivalent output at lower temp means higher output at higher temp. That required a major increase in the conductivity of the electrolyte (middle layer). It probably also means that the usual micro-thin glass layer that separates the electrolyte from the electrodes (outer layers) can be reduced or eliminated.

2) For a given power output, the fuel cell will require up to 3/4 LESS cooling than an internal combustion engine because the cell is more efficient. To put out 100KW, it will burn 1/2 as much fuel and will lose 1/2 as much of what it does burn to heat. Cooling will not be an issue. Limiting cooling may be.
