Zitel Solutions Services Division: Happy Anniversary! :-) Founded just over 1 year ago, ZSS is "a leading provider of enterprise solutions for the Year 2000 problem for corporate, commercial, and government clients around the world!" Source: Zitel 1/16/97. Wow!
ZSS originally had a three year window of opportunity. One third of that time period has passed, so lets review the progress of this "leading provider". As savvy investors, we should start with the bottom line. What? No profits, only losses? Well, that's OK. The business is probably growing very quickly and the profits will be generated in the last two years of operation.
Lets check the revenue growth. What? No revenues? That's odd ... Well, maybe its taken a little while to get started, but surely ZSS has a number of customers and contracts signed. Huh? No customers? No contracts? Hey, wait a second, what does "leading provider" mean anyway?
To summarize: One third of the window of opportunity has passed. Zitel has no Y2K profits, No Y2K revenue, No Y2K customers and No Y2K contracts.
I guess the One Year Anniversary isn't so happy. :-( |
