i had quit for a year but used a cig to light up fireworks for the kids.. next day i was smoking a pack or more a day.

i was already coughing all the time. Later collapsed lung. one son who smokes has been trying for years to give up smoking. tried everything so far available. it is harder for some to quit addictions. some do die.

had an uncle who was dying of lung cancer(heavy smoker rolled his own). He is was in oxygen tent in hospital.. shows how long ago. he asks his niece (a nun working at the hospital) to give him a cig. It was his last wish. She shut off the oxygen and he took his last breath from the cig.
