i got involved after:
1. meeting the company president, jim olive, who has over 30 years experience in the graphite business. Jim impressed me and i felt his business ethics were good, that he was honest, and that he really knew where opportunities were in the business.
2. I toured the brockton facility an liked what i saw. I interviewed staff and liked what i learned from them - a loyal team!
3. Scott and Harold are excellent people, very honest, great ethics and have real drive.... they also have a great grasp on the graphite business and have the ability to financially manage the company very well. I have known these individuals for several years.
4. I personally feel that graphite and its inclusion into a growing number of industrial processes is a growing business. The business is not mature in my estimation.
5. The company has excellent sources of supply of graphite and has also stockpiled graphite for processing.
6. The previous owners were more interested in gold and diamond mines than a graphite processing business.
My business expertise is such that i have done very well in everyhting i have been involved in which is basically communications (fiber and satellite). I thought i recognized a potential here and i thought my investment would be well realized in under two years.... i really never thought about it in a pure sense but i thought i recognized a great opportunity when it was presented to me.
