 KETCHUM, Idaho--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 7, 1998--Aqua Vie Beverage Corp.
(OTC:AVBC) today announced that Steven M. Baker has been retained as the
National Sales and Marketing Coordinator for the introduction of Aqua Vie's new
Hydrator(TM) product line to the natural food and beverage industry.

Baker has over 20 years' experience in the food industry, including directing the West
Coast launch of Haagen-Dazs products in California, vice president of sales for Alta
Dena Dairy, and was appointed vice president of sales for Aqua Vie Beverage Corp.
 in 1994.

In commenting on the announcement, Tom Gillespie, founder of Aqua Vie Beverage,
said, "We're delighted that Steve is coming on board at this time, during Aqua Vie's
launch of its new Hydrator product line. His extensive experience with the natural food
and beverage industry, especially with new product introductions, and his personal
knowledge of Aqua Vie's new product lines, will be a valuable contribution to the
 challenges ahead."

According to Baker, "I'm excited about this opportunity. Aqua Vie has overcome
many unusual obstacles for a new beverage company, but has still emerged, retaining
its leading edge 'all natural' low-calorie products. I believe consumers will embrace this
 new beverage."

The Hydrator products are Aqua Vie's long-awaited "all natural" beverages that are
designed to increase the personal consumption of spring water, naturally. The
underlying technology will also serve as the new delivery system for Aqua Vie's
"nutritionally fortified" E Line(TM), nutritionally specific Aquaceuticals(TM) and
non-alcoholic wine beverages made from spring water.
