My point was that it is a security hole that is routinely eliminated when one configures a unix server running on the internet by simply disabling the RPC service and that on the other hand one cannot simply dispense with RPC on the Windows platform ( unlike unix ) nor can anyone seem to address whether or not this issue exists with the RPC data transformation libraries on the Windows platform.

It's not a Sun vs. Windows issue, it's a unix vs. Windows issue and as is usual in security matters, unix wins.

The only thing that seems clumsy here is your attempt to talk around your evident lack of knowledge in the details of this issue. I'm playing a couple of levels above yours, come back when you get a clue. BTW, I find your SI id amusing given the general content of your postings, unless it it meant to signify that you are some some of tech stock enthusiast, which these days is just another form of being a big sucker.
