from Forbes " Synaptics (nyse: SYNA - news - people ) is another company that has been much too quiet about a major issue that could severely affect its future earnings. Synaptics makes touch pads for laptop computers. It also makes the click wheels for Apple Computer's (nasdaq: AAPL - news - people ) wildly popular iPods.

In February, the stock price was cut in half amid speculation that Apple was looking for a new vendor. Some analysts even suggested that Apple would start making the click wheels itself. Despite the huge selloff in its shares, Synaptics has said next to nothing about this issue.

We think that even if Apple secures an alternate source, it is unlikely that Synaptics will entirely loose its iPod business. As a result, this stock also looks attractive at its current price."
