<< Arcxel was all over this thread back when their switch was originally announced. >>

I'm going to say this one more time. I remember when you talked about it! That is not what I'm disputing.

<< I also recall seeing the Hucom/Arcxel announcement here, but I believe someone else posted it. >>

This is what I'm having trouble with. I don't recall seeing it and I find it interesting that there was no talk about it. Don't you think this is something worth discussing?

<< As to your contention that you haven't seen anything from Ancor regarding the Hucom deal being larger than originally anticipated, and extending through 1998, here is the press release: >>

I skimmed the ANCR press releases from their homepage last night. All I saw was a bunch of fluff. No hard numbers like D. Nordgren claimed. I asked him to provide a release with actual $$$ figures. Hucom is a distributor. It should be expected that they would occasionally place some more orders.

Here is an example:

Ancor Communications, Inc. (Nasdaq: ANCR) announced that it has received new orders for 34 GigWorks Fibre Channel switches from Japanese distributor Hucom, Inc., as part of a $7.4 million project announced in November, 1996.

I don't understand how they can call these new when they are part of the original $7.4 million deal.

Nelson said Ancor and Hucom have signed a new contract that builds on the productive partnership between the two companies. The contract, which extends through the end of 1998, calls for significantly increased commitments from Hucom for GigWorks switches and adapters to serve this growing market.

This may well be additional orders but it's not exactly clear. Everytime ANCR ships another phase of the Hucom order they issue a press release calling it a "new order" so how do I know what to believe?
