Brian, It is my understanding that the only required fills are market orders and limit orders that are precisely on the size and price. One exception is to allow partial fills which allow the requirements of the previous statement to be fulfilled provided that the order large enough and on the correct price (ask for buys & bid for sells). However, my experience has been that, as long as there is not a very small float, orders of any size (100 share blocks) fill as long as I am on or above the price for buys and on or below for sells. Sometimes when the price is volatile it is hard to keep up with the realtime bid/ask, but that does not sound like the case in point. In the past when I have had problems my brokers have always been able to produce trading logs that proved that I was wrong or they have made it right and made good on the transaction. My advice would be to complain strongly to your broker and, if he/she cannot satisfy you, change brokers. ...anyone else have comments or corrections on this? edit - sometimes very small fractions or decimals can be problematic in getting accurate price quotes. (9/64 is not .14 and .1475 is not .148) Good luck, George
