i've printed and cut to wallet-size the last paragraph of your december 10 comment on the lu thread so i can re-read it every time i get shaky about the big play i've made on lu and nt. i know they can't miss over time, but i fear the builders of the 'net will suffer when the e-tailers have their inevitable shake-out. my father used to say, "when they raid the whorehouse they take everyone including the piano player." what concerns me now is that nt has perhaps 90% of the OC-192 market, and that appears to be optics' future. no doubt nt's OC-192 customers have maintenance contracts with nt, and will keep going back to them. others may go to nt for net construction because nt has the experience. perhaps i should drop the lu component of my investment.
