Paul, Re: I don't waste too much time in speculating on what-if scenarios... Come on, that's the standard politician's, "I don't want to get into hypotheticals" dodge when he doesn't want to answer a relevant question. You claimed that RDRAM paired with Willy was fine, because it's aimed at a high-performance market that's not very concerned with cost. My question is about those very 2 factors: Performance and Cost. Will it perform faster? If so, how much faster? 1%? How much will that improvement cost? People will pay for a significant performance gain, but they won't appreciate paying a lot more for roughly equal performance. Doug p.s. When is Merced going to ship? When was it planned to ship?
