I focused on significant advantage and strongly disagreed. I don't consider a one party state an advantage at all, and I don't believe progress can be achieved without argument.

We're in the same ballpark on this one.

If "progress" is understood as movement toward something better, more moral, rather than simply change, then the question becomes as to whether a one party state can do that. It's an ends/means question for me. I had to significantly disagree with it.
