Lucius, I think you are right about the ability of the existing technology company to buy their way into the new disruptive technology. I think Cisco in particular demonstrates great skill at appropriating new technology development by acquisition. It's a legitimate means of reacting. I think Intel has done a good job of responding to AMD by segmenting the market with it's Celeron offering.
