I would say it is as meaningful as the fairness argument. Your constitution said the electral college elect the president which to many are also considered to be unfair but that is what it is when people entering the election. Which means accept it. Similarly, if one county law said that you can only ask for manual recount within 72 hours(and you miss that) and another has no such requirement, it was also there before they entered the election. So it is unfair but break no existing laws of the state or county and perfectly legitimate.
