Hi All,

Just a note on the new PowerBooks: MacNN reports that the cheapest one will be priced at $2299 MAP. This means some of the catalogs will have it $100-$200 lower, but still a tad more expensive than expected (damn those margins!). The highest priced version will come in at about $5599, approximately $100 less than the current G3 Powerbook. Educational pricing should be about $200 lower than the MAP listings on average.

That decision by Intuit does stink. There are a handful of good accounting apps for the Mac, but Quicken is by far the most popular. For anyone who's interested, MacWeek had a news item yesterday about Aatrix Accounting (formerly Peachtree), which the last time I looked at it, was a fairly decent app, and improving steadily. I am in no way affiliated with Aatrix, just FYI.

Stock should pick up next week . . .
