When debates have no set rules for the debate this is what happens------as in the case of Bachmann being deliberately ignored by the press. This is discrimination by the press whether it be Bachmann or any of the men who are candidates.

Each candidate should have the opportunity for the following:

1. A formal opening statement by each candidate

2. The same question posed once to all candidates with a time
limit for response-----i.e. 1 minute limit or less (candidates often will pass if
they have nothing to say on the subject----that's fine)

3. A formal closing statement of 1 and half to 2 minutes by each candidate, this gives each a
chance to cover any points they were unable to cover during the debate and/or
summarize points they have previously made and wish to reiterate.

Considering the number of candidates, there should be agreed to rules by the
candidates and the press moderators or non press moderators prior to the debates.

When I have watched the debates-------it was obvious that the moderators were in
control of the debates.

The Candidates in total and the RNC need to take control of these debates and work
to establish the rules of debate ahead of time

Rules should be known to all prior to the debate and agreed to by all and clearly stated by the
moderators.

Thus far the press is acting like interrogators and not moderators of debates. This needs to
be changed. This is not fair to each and all of the candidates.

This is common political debate protocol.
