Only now Apple is implementing preemptive multitasking and memory protection. NT had these for years, OS/2 even before. Apple kept promising Copland and never delivered. People criticize Microsoft for doing that, but when Apple does it nobody becomes indignant. Why? Corporations are moving massively to NT. We had Macs at my company and they crashed a couple of times a day. Now we have PCs running NT and they never crash.
