Kech, How many Thailands are there? - where favorable trade deals or charity is dependent on buying an A380. So there may be an ongoing market for long-haul planes coupled with Euro, French and German governmental pressure. However - the loading/unloading issue is real. Hong Kong is the only location I know of that consistently uses multiple doors to process an aircraft quickly. So this will appeal only in mega-city to mega-city routes - mostly trans Pacific or Europe/Far East. But then all the French and British diplomacy combined never sold a Concorde... My gut feel is - it will never make money - but serves a purpose as a bragging right. Kind of like Boeing taking a fixed price contract on Air Force 1. 'If we only break even' was the mantra - we needed to keep the bragging rights - no one considered - 'what if we lose 400 million' :-) Don't tell the Euro's - Government contracts are supposed to be subsidies!
