All that happened was the other arms of government considered the situation and decided Nixon had to go. The FBI is not an arm of government. Subversive? Seditious? I think you have the wrong words. I believe the argument is easily made that Felt took his actions to subvert and change the US government. I believe his actions caused resistance against our government. That is sedition. I also beleive his actions were intended to result in the overthrow of our government. That is subversion.
