My feeling about alternative forms of carbon based liquid fuels is that yes, there is going to be a market for them, in applications were electricity won't cut it. Also perhaps the very rich will not care how much a gallon of biofuel costs, when they decide to drive their Rolls Royce.

I think this is a niche market but it might be profitable, and that of course is the purpose of this thread. To make money off alternative energy.

My comments were mainly about replacing the internal combustion engine in autos since that's where the bulk of our oil usage goes to and it HAS to be replaced somehow. When gas gets to be $20/gallon, biofuel will be $20 a gallon too and there is going to be a powerful incentive to drive electric cars.

Just IMHO, and heck what do I know?
