I couldn't agree more, Mac! Mark himself has characterized PTEC as lacking innovation, on another thread (SYSF). Here's what Mark said about PTEC on the SYSF thread (post #1849, May 13): "If the world consisted only of stodgy safe companies like Phoenix, we'd never see any major innovations." Yet WIND received the EDN Design Innovation Award for Torando when it was introduced (1995). My investment in WIND has increased 8-fold in approximately 2.75 years. I don't believe PTEC performed that well, did it? ;-) Come to think of it, I don't think Mark's bond returns were quite that high! :-)) This performance was achieved in the absence of IxWorks, which itself is a significant innovation by WIND. I know I always sound like a cheerleader, but that's because there is simply nothing bad to say about this company! -Dave Lehenky
