Sell deep in the money calls expiring next year. Let them call the stock away from you then if you wish. If you've held the stock over one year at the time you sell the calls, then the gain on your stock will be long term. If you want to get aggressive on the downside buy some puts with the same strike and expiration wiht the call premium you receive. All this puts on an effective hedge against further decline. kirby
