Phil, Yes, the StockEdge service has real time news from the DBC Newsroom for free, also the Dow Jones Headlines News Service as an add on (this is the same headlines your broker gets!). The software has intraday charting (bar, obar, candlesticks, flow, close). Six years of historical data and charts are also included with the service. This is a full blown Windows product so you can customize the look and feel including personalized tickers. This is $79 a month. Go to dbc.com for details or to order. DBC is also in final beta testing of the Internet version. We are looking for 100 more testers. Go to stockchat.com to be a Beta tester. This is continuous, streaming, push quotes over the Internet.
