IMO, the people running the show have one oar in the water. They are as confused as anyone else. One the one hand, Obama doesn't want to feed the right wingnut hysteria that he's a socialist, so he will be reluctant to do the expedient thing. One the other hand, he's hoping that there is another way to skin the cat without turning the street inside out. I'd bet that starting this week or last, he's leaning towards turning things inside out.
