1- CATASTROPHE AVERTED AT CHECK-POST JUNCTION Several alert police officers prevented a suicide bomber from reaching his destination and forced him to detonate his bomb early at the Check-post Junction, in Northern Israel. The terrorist was shot dead and 30 Israelis were lightly wounded, in the Sunday morning attack. Arabs continued to shoot mortars at Israeli towns and Israel continued to strike at PLO police targets over the weekend. Israel continues to call Arafat a terrorist and to expose his "arrests" of Hamas and Islamic Jihad terrorists as the fraud that they are. Israel claims that Arafat is simply moving the terrorists into safe houses and apartments to protect them from Israeli attacks.
