It's rather silly to compare the Iraq adventure, which was, in fact, an adventure rather than a war that was forced on to this country, with the serious conflicts like WW2 where we were attacked by the armed forces of a sovereign nation.
Adventure? GEEZUS you're one SICK SOB, Bilow.. Really sick...
This is a war.. and to fight that war one has to make strategic calculations towards achieving ultimate victory..
The problem is that you're so clueless you don't know what we even fighting against... It sure as hell isn't to be found in Afghanistan or Pakistan..
In fact, even Bin Laden isn't the real threat. He's just another "General" like Zawahiri and others, financed and supported by THE TRUE ENEMY, those who seek to dominate the muslim and western world with Islamo-Fascism...
And the people ultimately responsible for making Bin Laden what he is live in Saudi Arabia.
But given SA's economic importance (oil) we can't just invade that country, as we might have had this been similar to the events that brought us into WWII..
So we invade Iraq, eliminate an intransigent, despotic, and genocidal regime while restoring relative peace and stability to the region.
And ultimately, should the Saudi Royal family not "get the hint" and crack down on their fanatic elements, then Iraq will become a major swing producer of oil, diminishing SA's importance to the global economy..
What part of that "adventure" don't you understand, moron?
