Jacob. You said...." There is no contradiction, between Iraqi patriotism and American patriotism. ".... IMO. there is a difference. American patriotism is based on love of country and the freedoms that the many races and religions enjoy in a democratic country. In Iraq and many other ME countries patriotism is based on islam and all the restrictions to freedom that religion imposes on people living under islamic rule. In America you have a choice. In islam controlled countries you also have a choice but if you choose against the rulers you die. IMO. there is a difference.
