WSJ had an article today on a company that hopes to produce biodiesal by placing algae eating fingerling fish in cages into the algae blooms in the Gulf of Mexico caused by both global warming and runoff continuing nitrogen, and then processing the fattened fish.

Seems interesting, but far fetched.

In same article WSJ highlighted a company (Solix) growing algae in tubes on the Southern Ute Indian reservation using sunlight (300 days of sunshine a year) and injected carbon dioxide from the reservations natural gas facilities. This is a test project for economic efficiencies.
