California Democrat, Dianne Feinstein, tried to eliminate a few million dollars from a spending bill (yeah, with an “m") that was earmarked for the development of those “bunker buster” nuclear weapons the administration is seeking. You know, precisely the type of weapon our country might need some day to take out an al-Qaeda terrorist cell buried deep underground. Or to take out a buried cache of terror WMD’s. You know, to prevent genocidal terrorists from killing and maiming you and your family!

Fortunately, however, sane adults are running the country. Feinstein’s request was rejected, 53-43:

Democrats who wanted to strike the funding = 40 (89%).

Republicans who wanted those funds spent = 50 (91%).

With two Republicans not voting at all.

Unlike what you might see or hear from other sources, there most certainly *are* major distinctions between Republicans and modern-day Democrats.

And there are consequences to staying home to send messages or to protest political peeves.

Democrats don’t have that problem. Their voters would vote for a corpse. Many of them, in point of fact, are corpses.

This isn’t 1992 anymore. And we’ve already seen what can happen if a post-Vietnam Democrat is allowed to sneak into a position of real power.

Contribute.

Vote.

Just win, baby.

P.S. - Here’s the media’s version of events.
