Re shorting.Excellent reasoning.I have said before and others know I want an account open to short the "pump and Dump" VSE.I concur that to be a good daytrader you do and should learn how to make money both ways.The head and shoulders chart is a good one to look at for an analysis of shorting oppurtunities.I find when the second shoulder defines itself(sometimes referred to as the "Dead cat bounce") I have seen numerous shorting oppurtunities.I spent a day going to all the full service brokerages in town and none short stocks.We all know why.They are busy opening self directed RRSP's and loading them up with mutual funds and then heading for the golf course.....LOL No just kidding.I am in the process as we speak looking for a boutique house that trades the VSE that will allow me to short there.

As a comparison I was just thinking about your comment about your first short and learning the other side.Don't think anything personal of this Wayne but it reminded me of an interesting analogy.Someone asked me why there are so few truly successful salespeople.I said because there are too many salesman who find something that works and then they get bored and move to another method,moving awat from what was working for them or that that they became proficient at.I thought about the shorting and said this could be an interesting comparison.Newbies start daytrading ands lose money until they get it down with the T/A and chart reading and momo etc and when they start to make money they decide to try shorting......Wayne I want you to know that I have respect for your tenacity and your wisdom and applaud you but only after newbies are making money with the longs should they brave the short side.Go get em Wayne.When I get my account iopen I will join you.Buckey should have one as well.He is getting good with picking the bouncers..
