Thanks for the post; to one who's very interested in Ampex it was not long at all. Your comparrisson is very enlightening. So much so that I tend to aggree with you that the comparrissons are so similar that the IBM release must be referncing KM although not by name. Also reading into the new 424B3 more closely and taking into account how cautious Bramson and Ampex really are, I truly believe that Ampex and the one un-named drive manufacturer are further along with the KM - MR marriage than we are being lead to believe. Just my opinion but I continue to see many good things ahead. MB
