India is certainly not the United States, though they may stupidly think they are. Look at India's Air Force -- some old flying coffins from the erstwhile Soviet Union! And yes, of course, their LCA (i.e. Latest Confusion in Aeronautics ;-) ) is "under development" for decades now...
