MJ, Just think of all of the future trillions in dollars we would save if Mr. Obama would 'cashout'--------a new day for America.
Yes, trillions of dollars would be saved from cuts of social security, medicare, medicaid on the backs of the poor and middle class while the rich get richer. But, what about those retirees on a fixed income who have an monthly income less that $1,000 per month and those who are trying to get ahead working 2-3 part time jobs just to survive. They do not have enough time even to go to school and increase their skill sets in order to get higher wages and a full time job. What are you going to do to assist them, let them die. You need to read the book, "Nickel and Dime" to get some idea of how those in poverty live.
Our current solution appears to imprison them where they give up their freedom in exchange for three meal, bed, shelter, clothing, TV, exercise privileges, education opportunity, free dental and healthcare in exchange for taxpayer contributions of approximately $30,000 annually. Do you honestly think that individuals are not going to resort to the survival instinct to survive? People, IMO, will do what is necessary to survive. What are the solutions? |
