I agree that 10-12 is still possible. I think the better
companies Intel and Microsoft will do well. SGI will probably sit
any near term rallies out (if there is one). 10-12 is still possible. This company (from a stock ROI point of view) is another aapl, ifmx, idti. It will sit at low teens for a at least a quarter. The unfortunate thing about investing in SGI right now is that the discussion is "when it will come back or how great the potential is". That's not the position you want to be in. You want to be saying how high will the stock go up due to the great earnings. I have a lot of respect for McCracken. He came across as a very nice person. When I was at SGI the execution was better. I think the execution has been lacking of late. The concern I would have now is that the management team has no experience with bad time. Remember this team was responsible for the ten fold increase during good time. It takes special skills to solve problems when thing don't go well. This reminds me of Convergent,Daisy,Amdahl.
I hope for all the employees and the shareholder, they could pull it off. For now I have my money elsewhere. I'll be in if the stock hit
10.
