Points well taken Bateman -- but... -- XXX advertising will not drive revenues for mainstream sites/portals -- when broadband arrives, advertisers will be placing sight/sound/motion commercial units like you see on TV with interactivity -- cable modem/ADSL penetration is VERY limited, until Microsoft and the Cable MSOs/Telcos roll out their new set top boxes/pipelines and convert the distribution, the majority of users will be living in a 28.8/56.7 world -- Advertisers won't invest in the medium to its fullest extent until a majority of users can access the message (ie Cable in the 70s/80s) -- TV still reaches the masses must cheaper Regardless, lets both hope for a 50 point pullback!
