With all the talk about productivity and how vital it is to hike it further, has anyone noticed the raft of articles lately pointing out how stressed and indeed overstressed much of the American work force is already? Those banking on a surge of productivity to bail out the economy and the markets are whistling Dixie IMHO. But there may more room for productivity growth in Europe where our super workaholic ethos has not yet taken hold.
