You're exactly right! VC's were "showing the money" to ill-prepared freshman entrepreneurs, that couldn't say no (I wouldn't either), and it became an orgy of greed that filtered down to the little people...namely us.

As soon as it filtered down...or in other words, when my grandma started asking me about VoIP, I and other should have been running to bear funds.

I still believe (mis-guided or not) that infrastructure stocks that have little or no debt, and have managed a positive cash flow (up until the last couple quarters) will be there after this mauling is over. Companies I still hold (blindly or not) are: NTAP, SNDK, WIND, and RNWK. I only hold this hope because I held onto some dogs during the Asian Contagion, and came out well. I hold the same hope for these, and believe that my stable is more quality than it was in the past lesson. Going back to your timeline on wireless gives me this confidence.
