POTA, TADA, MISA.... what these do is to rob the people of whatever little freedom they have. They give the police and the military a "free hand" -- meaning that there can be any number of deaths in "encounters" and in police custody, and the government will look the other way.

What is really needed is to enforce the laws that are already on the books, but oh, I forget -- the British left India 55 years ago! ;-)
