Sampling historic underground workings at the
100 Level of the Little Squaw Mine. The back (roof)
of the adit is massive white quartz vein, with a banded
quartz-gold footwall zone (right) of the Little Squaw
Vein. The vein is 4 feet thick at this location and the
view is along strike looking west. The white bars represent
sample areas. Samples LS1621 and LS1622
contained only trace amounts of gold, and sample
LS1620 assayed 89.12 ounces of gold per ton. Photo
