Packard Bell has a poor reputation in quality and support when you have a problem. That is a very bad combination.

I know nothing of a lack of fan or heating problem with regard to Compaq. However, heat disippation is a potential problem that Compaq engineers recognize. I find it hard to beleive that they would design their PC's such that they would create a problem with heat dissipation.
