Joe. Washington Pa is about 40 minutes from the Burgh. New office is about 20 minutes from new office if I remember correctly. Moving to Washington did sevarl things IMO: 1) Allowed MBHC to get a much larger office at a lower cost. Washington has to be cheaper than Carnegie and I know office is at least twice as large. 2) I am sure that the tax structure in Washington County and the city of Washington is much lower than Allegheny County and Pittsburgh. (forgive me if county names are wrong haven't lived there in 10 years). Kevin is very shrewd and maximizing the dollar is his specialty. 3) The Pittsburgh Airport is on less than 30 minutes from the office and heading away from traffic of the city when Rushovich, Flippin, etc. come to town. 4) Pittsburgh is expanding rapidly in the south. Look at the developments moving that way and you will see. One of Pittsburgh's newest Country Club, Hotel, etc. Southpointe is not far. 5) Washington PA is ideally located for travel with Major North/South interstate (79) and East/West (70?). Not sure if there are any ties in Columbus, Cincinatti, Wheeling, Morgantown, etc. but makes them a straight shot.
