kumar, It's too bad, IMO, that the vote was not for severing ties with the Queen. Perhaps it is just me, but I can't stand the idea of having a broken down old woman, or man, that has no executive power, who get a huge salary every year, for doing nothing but appearing in public. Monarchy is a useless concept to the citizens of any nation, and excludes the right of the citizens to vote for the person they present to the world as their icon.
